World Championships Of Ping Pong Irish Qualifier Results
What makes a great event? Well, the Ping Pong has it all with great support from the club and local players mixed with a friendly, fun and competitive atmosphere! Yesterday had it all and we want to say a massive thanks to all the players who made the effort to support one of our most important and favourite events of the year 👏
All-day long there was huge battles right from the group stages but there can only be one winner and this year like previous years we went to the wire with young hardbat wizard Jonathan Mooney (14 Years Old) only losing out on countback to the WCOPP experienced warrior Zak Wilson!
In the Top 4 playoffs, Zak and Jonathan both lost 1 game each with Zak taking a loss to Keith Knox and Jonathan taking a loss to Zak! This left a two-way tie and going by standard tournament rules it goes to head-to-head leaving Zak Wilson as our Champion with Jonathan a superb runner up! Big shoutout to our third place players Allen Robson and Keith Knox who battled hard all day to secure their place in Irelands Top 4.
What an epic event and we now look forward to seeing the Irish qualifiers at World Championships Of Ping Pong at the Alexander Palace on 25-26 January 2020!!
