Belfast and District Table Tennis Division 3 – Ormeau D (6) – Civil service B (4).
Tonight we saw Ormeau D take on Civil service B at home in Division 3 of the Belfast and District Table Tennis League. The match ended with a score line of Ormeau D (6) and Civil service B (4). The format for the match was a 3 Vs 3 player format. Matthew McCann reporting on the match said “A well fought match down at Ormeau, with Ormeau managing to reverse the 2-8 loss in the first half with a 6-4 win, tightly fought down to the doubles. It should be mentioned that Gus was nursing an injury tonight, but didnt stop him from taking a match away. As expected, the magnificent, stalwart, awe inspiring Martin managed to come home with all three of his singles. Ken ‘megaloop’ faulkner also playing a great mix of forehand aggression with backhand defence. Always a pleasure playing against the Civil team, we look forward to the next one :)”.
